TN03 Configuring FFSim™ to match a specific tablet press

This note sets out how to mechanically configure an FFSim so that a PAT calibration model built on it transfers to a production tablet press feed frame. It covers the three parameters that must be matched between the two (tip speed, wheel geometry, probe position), the calculation required to convert commercial press speed into an FFSim setpoint, and the practical limits of what FFSim can reproduce.

It is written for PAT scientists and method development teams building NIR or Raman models for feed frame deployment, either ahead of a press installation or in parallel with one.

It does not cover chemometric model building itself (preprocessing, PLS regression, validation), spectrometer selection, analytical validation, or the regulatory strategy for deploying the resulting model.
